Vision's network and security specialists worked over the weekend to help minimise the impact of the cyber attack that affected a number of NHS organisations on Friday afternoon.
The vast majority of GP practices using Vision were unaffected. The systems at isolated practices that had infected local workstations are now running as normal.
GP practices using Vision can be reassured that there is no evidence to suggest that Vision or patient records have been compromised.
Most Windows ransomware in recent months has been embedded in documents distributed as email attachments. Please remain vigilant and make sure all of your colleagues understand the importance of not opening unsolicited emails.
