We have been made aware of an issue affecting patients who have entries of a specific read code in their records - 'No Known Allergies'. In secondary care environments accessing the patient record, the presence of this read code will supress any allergy records dated PRIOR to the addition of the No Known Allergies read code.
This may present an inadequate history, excluding possibly relevant information, if the No Known Allergies record is in fact inaccurate.
