This summer we'll celebrate Vision Anywhere's third birthday. It started out as a groundbreaking solution for mobile access to patient records. For the first time, GPs could work with patient records on their phone or tablet during home visits.
There are apps for all popular devices:
- iPhone and iPad
- Android phones and tablets
- Windows tablets, laptops and convertibles
For every consultation
Last summer, we began adding more features to the Windows version. Federations and clusters already use it for shared care and extended hours appointments. In this context, GPs are viewing and adding to records held in Vision and EMIS systems.
Vision Anywhere is evolving into a full consulting solution. We'll add support for national services so you can use it for patient consultations at your practice.
A massive effort goes into the user experience. Our goal is to simplify and declutter software, so it is easy to learn and use. We use machine learning to automate repetitive tasks and reduce mouse clicks. Our restless innovation saves you time.
We release regular updates for Vision Anywhere. If you haven't seen it for a while, it might surprise you. Recent additions include:
- Predictive data entry for common observations
- Performance improvements, such as patient records opening up to three times faster
The latest update includes repeat synchronisation. It brings a patient's repeat prescription dates in line with only two mouse clicks. We'll soon be introducing SNOMED CT as the primary terminology, test requesting and referrals.
The regular phone and tablet app updates will continue. However, they will have the limited lighter functionality you'll need for mobile use.
How to get started
If you're new to Vision Anywhere or want to learn about the recent updates, take a look at the help centre. You'll find tutorial videos, quick start guides and detailed help.
In England, Vision Anywhere is available on GPSoC, so there is no charge for the software. You can use your existing phone or tablet too. For more information, visit the page on our website or get in touch.
